Four Self-guided Tours

June through September

P.E.I. Self-Guided Tours

Prince Edward Island is the tiniest province of Canada and one of its finest.  Best known for its sandy beaches, friendly locals, lobster dinners, and the lush fields of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island has become a cyclist’s dream.

Our four self-guided tours allows you to pick which type of tour is best for you.  The Tip to Tip 7-day tour spans the entire island riding mainly on quiet back roads near the northern coastline.  The Confederation Trail tour is a 6-day Tip to Tip tour staying on the interior hard packed Rails-to-trail path which has a few coastline visits.  The East-Point Lighthouse tour is a shorter 5-day tour spanning the eastern shoreline with a mix of rail and quiet roads.  Our Mid-Coastline tour takes you on the southern and northern coasts as well as our National Park.

You will discover small communities, artisan stores, historic buildings, abandoned rail stations, local cafes and endless sandy beaches.  Relax at quaint restaurants with world-renowned seafood, and interact with islanders known for their warmth and hospitality.  Prince Edward Island has the highest concentration of lighthouses in North America, with an average of one lighthouse every 34 square miles.

There are three convenient ways to get to Prince Edward Island and Charlottetown where we begin our tours.  Whether you drive across the Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick, take a ferry ride from Nova Scotia or fly into the Charlottetown airport, as long as you know how to drive in a round-about, you’ll find the Island easy to navigate.

Your self-guided trip is great for beginners or avid cyclists.   We provide shuttle service, luggage transfers bike rental options as well as Crossroads’ great service with local experts.  Prince Edwards Island is ready to please, pick your tour and let Crossroads do the planning.

Send in your Inquiry with the dates you prefer.  Tours are available from June through September. (July 3-7 unavailable)  Dates listed are just the date ranges we can provide our tours.

Check out our testimonials

We loved the PEI cycling tour.  The B&B's were wonderful.  Thanks for helping with our blown tire.  This is definitely something we would recommend and would love to do again.

Mom and I had a great trip to PEI and enjoyed ourselves very much!  We loved the countryside and the tour was very beautiful and varied.  The tour was excellent and we were grateful that you chose less hilly roads, where possible.  The inns were very good.  The B&B at Montegue was really lovely.

We met SO many wonderful people along the way in PEI and saw so many wonderful things.  We look forwards to learning about your other destinations.  We would do a Crossroads bike trip anytime because we know that it would go as planned.
