New Smyrna Beach to St. Petersburg
Florida Coast to Coast Guided - February 21-26, 2027
Fully-Supported Tour
Enjoy our Fully-Supported bike tour for six-days cycling along the beautiful Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail, covering 216 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. You will travel along nine different paved rail trails while seeing the entire width of Florida from New Smyrna Beach to St. Petersburg.
Your journey begins in Clearwater, where you can drive or fly into Tampa or St. Petersburg where we will spend our first night. Then we shuttle to New Smyrna Beach and ride towards the shimmering waters of Lake Monroe, a serene spot offering picturesque views before you enjoy a well-earned dinner in Sanford, a charming city known for its lively downtown and riverfront atmosphere. Further along the route, you’ll traverse scenic trails, including the Withlacoochee State Trail, Suncoast trail, Good Neighbor trail before we return to Clearwater on the Pinellas Trail and ride to St. Petersburg. Make it a longer vacation and stay a day or two before or after the tour in our Clearwater hotel near the coast.
Our tour price includes 5 nights accommodations, breakfast, lunch, shuttle during the tour, first night welcoming dinner, themed bike jersey, GPS mapping, luggage transfers with tags, FL C2C patch, and beverages after the ride but excludes all but first dinner. We also provide a tour guide riding as sweep on the trail along with a support vehicle for the entire tour. Our guides provide full support along with area history and ensuring everyone finishes the tour safely.
Rental bikes (hybrid and e-bikes) are available on this tour. Consider an E-bike if you ride less than 200 miles a month or cannot maintain a 10-12 mile pace. E-bikes turn the trail ride from a frown to a smile.
We highly recommend booking protection or trip insurance for all tours.

I am a single rider, will I meet new people?
This tour is great for single riders. We have from 10-16 guests on the tour and we all become friends very quickly. The Crossroads' Team provides a friendly environment where you can just ride and we will take care of all the details.
How fast does the group ride?
Even though the riders do not have to ride together on the trail, we do start at the same time and we try to meet everyone at each SAG stop. To maintain this level of service and due to the number of ebikes on the tours, we recommend if you ride a manual bike less than 12 MPH on hard surfaces, you should consider using an ebike on this tour. This will ensure you are keeping pace with the SAG stops before they need to locate to the next stop for the day.

Weather in the last week of February for Mid-Florida is generally mild and pleasant. Typical high temperatures range from 71°F to 75°F, while lows are usually between 52°F and 56°F. Where do I start my tour?
We start our tours in Clearwater, FL and stay at the Clearwater Residence Inn. Your first day on the tour will be a traveling day to Clearwater with a welcoming dinner at 5pm. The Clearwater beach or the Clearwater Marine Aquarium are just a short ride from the hotel. Then on day 2 you will be shuttled to New Smyrna beach where we will start our ride heading back to Clearwater. We also have a kick off dinner at 5pm on the first day of our tour.

We highly recommend Booking Protection or Trip Insurance. We have seen many reasons for people need to cancel due to accident, illness, family members having illness, jury or military duty, fire and pregnancy. All of these are covered with our Booking Protection, which is available to most people to purchase at checkout, or you can purchase your own trip insurance or check your homeowners’ or credit card policy for coverage.
What is Booking Protection?
Crossroads Bike Tours has a Booking Protection Option available at the checkout of your tour from a third-party provider, XCover. Our customers can gain access to comprehensive coverage for a fee that varies from 6 to 7% of their booking total. This will entitle you to a refund if you are unable to attend the experience due to any of the reasons covered. Listed below are some of the covered reasons:
* Transportation disruption
* Accident or illness of ticket holder or member of immediate family (not pre-existing conditions)
* Jury or military duty
* Personal emergency (e.g. burglary or fire)
* Pregnancy
* Extreme weather causing a delay in reaching the destination
Booking Protection is not Travel Insurance and does not provide health insurance when traveling.
Customers will have the option to add this at checkout. If a customer uses a payment plan the booking protection fee will be collected at the time of the first payment. All claims will be handled directly through our provider “Cover Genius” and not Crossroads Bike Tours. Please read the entire eligibility requirements at check out of your tour purchase for complete details.
Not every customer is eligible for this insurance due to State Regulations. If you do not receive Booking Protection at checkout, it cannot be added after purchase. Trip Insurance can be purchased on your own through several different companies after purchase such as Allianz. If you are eligible for this coverage, you will find it on our booking site after the “contact details” are provided and before payment
