Self-Guided Bike Tour
Experience the beauty of Quebec City and its surrounding countryside on this 5-day, 4-night self-guided bike tour. Ride along scenic paved trails following the St. Lawrence River, explore the charming streets of Old Quebec, and discover the peaceful countryside that surrounds this historic city. With daily rides from your centrally located hotel, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of cycling, culture, and relaxation.
You’ll visit Montmorency Falls, one of Quebec’s most iconic natural wonders, pedal across to Lévis for sweeping views of Old Quebec that feel straight out of Europe, and ride through the Huron-Wendat community of Wendake to experience rich Indigenous history.
For those wanting more mileage, optional ride extensions can take you up to 50, 45, and 35 miles a day, all on beautiful, paved pathways.
Our Quebec City tour begins and ends right in the heart of Old Quebec. You’ll stay at a charming accommodation, located in the historic Lower Town, steps from the waterfront, restaurants, and boutiques.
Our bike tours provide accommodations, digital mapping & voice navigation, an electronic itinerary, a trail-themed t-shirt, and a patch. You can also add bike rentals, extra nights' stay, a guided walking tour of Quebec City, or a guided hiking tour at the Parc Jacques Cartier to your tour.
All bike tours are available late May through early October for individuals or groups. If our listed dates don't fit your schedule, call our office at 314-656-6229 or send an INQUIRY, and we’ll build a tour for your specific dates.
If you’d like to speak to someone in French about this tour, please call in and ask to speak with Rhett, who is based in our Canadian office.
We highly recommend booking protection or trip insurance for all tours.

We highly recommend Booking Protection or Trip Insurance. We have seen many reasons for people need to cancel due to accident, illness, family members having illness, jury or military duty, fire and pregnancy. All of these are covered with our Booking Protection, which is available to most people to purchase at checkout, or you can purchase your own trip insurance or check your homeowners’ or credit card policy for coverage.
Can I combine other Canadian tours?
Yes, you can! If you want to combine the P'tit Train du Nord or the PEI bike tour, here are some options. Ride either the P'tit Train or Quebec City tour, then take the VIA Rail to your next tour (Montreal or Quebec City). The tickets start at $35 USD for one way. If you are driving, expect a 3-hour 15-30-minute drive. If you would like to do the PEI tour, you can fly into or out of Montreal or Quebec City.
What other things can I do while in Quebec City?
We have many extras available such as a private 2 hour walking tour of Quebec City, a 4 hour guided hike in Jacques Cartier National Park, or a 4 hour guided Mountain Bike tour at the same park. There are also many museums to check out, like the
Museum of Civilization or the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
What is Booking Protection?
Crossroads Bike Tours has a Booking Protection Option available at the checkout of your tour from a third-party provider XCover. Our customers can gain access to comprehensive coverage for a fee that varies from 6 to 7% of their booking total. This will entitle you to a refund if you are unable to attend the experience due to any of the reasons covered. Listed below are some of the covered reasons:
* Transportation disruption
* Accident or illness of ticket holder or member of immediate family (not pre-existing conditions)
* Jury or military duty
* Personal emergency (e.g. burglary or fire)
* Pregnancy
* Extreme weather causing a delay in reaching the destination
Booking Protection is not Travel Insurance and does not provide health insurance when traveling.
Customers will have the option to add this at checkout. If a customer uses a payment plan the booking protection fee will be collected at the time of the first payment. All claims will be handled directly through our provider “Cover Genius” and not Crossroads Bike Tours. Please read the entire eligibility requirements at check out of your tour purchase for complete details.
Not every customer is eligible for this insurance due to State Regulations. If you do not receive Booking Protection at checkout, it cannot be added after purchase. Trip Insurance can be purchased on your own through several different companies after purchase such as Allianz. If you are eligible for this coverage, you will find it on our booking site after the “contact details” are provided and before payment
