Trail: On Road 60%, Rail Trail crushed limestone 40% Mileage: 210 miles – 35-mile daily average Tour timing: June 14 - 20 Ride Prince Edward Island from North Cape Lighthouse to East Point Lighthouse, spanning the entire island on a fully-supported, small-group guided tour. In six days of riding you’ll experience red-sand beaches, quiet fishing villages, historic churches, museums, walking tour of Charlottetown, lighthouses and plenty of seafood restaurants and cafés to satisfy your post-ride appetite. You’ll stay in top-rated inns and hotels across the island, with your luggage transported for you and Crossroads guides and PEI experts handling the details. Our team shares local history and stories, keeps you fueled with SAG stops and lunches, and we are there if you need anything on or off the bike. Day 1

Travel Day – Arrive in Charlottetown, PEI - no group riding 

Arrive in Charlottetown by air or car and check into our centrally located hotel, within walking distance of the wharf and restaurants. Settle in, explore town, and meet your Crossroads guides and fellow riders at our evening welcome meeting.

Day 2

North Cape/Tignish to Mill River (31 miles) 

Morning group shuttle from your Charlottetown hotel to the western tip of PEI at North Cape/Tignish (about 2 hours). If you’re renting a bike, we’ll have the bike on the shuttle.  

Your first afternoon on the bike follows the coast and country roads toward Rodd Mill River Resort. Our guide will lead us with at least one SAG stop and a relaxed lunch along the way.

Summerside

Day 3

Mill River to Summerside (44 miles) 

Today you’ll ride the Confederation Trail all the way into Summerside. Enjoy peaceful rail-trail miles and wide-open views as you pedal toward the water. Lodging is in Summerside, PEI’s second-largest city—perfect for an evening stroll with plenty of restaurants and harbor views.

Day 4

Summerside to Cavendish (31 miles) 

You’ll begin on the Confederation Trail from Summerside to Kensington to avoid busier roads, then transition back to quiet roads heading for Cavendish. Pass an historic church at Indian River and follow the coastline, with frequent sea views in the second half of the day. Overnight in Cavendish, about 500 meters from the seashore and 1 km from Cavendish Beach’s famous red sands, PEI National Park and the Anne of Green Gables sights.

Day 5

Cavendish to Brackley Beach (18 miles) 

A shorter, easier day leaves time to enjoy more of PEI National Park’s beaches and sea views. We will visit the Farmer’s Bank and Doucer House museums for a look at the origins of modern banking, then finish the day in Brackley Beach.

Day 6

Brackley Beach to St. Peter’s Bay (38 miles) 

Continue along the coastline through PEI National Park in the morning, then rejoin the Confederation Trail near Tracadie for the final 10 km. The trail follows the shore of St. Peter’s Bay with views of mussel and clam farms in the water. Tonight you’ll stay in a small inn near the bay and enjoy a quiet seaside evening.


EastEndLighthouse

Day 7

St. Peter’s Bay to East Point Lighthouse; Shuttle to Charlottetown (35 miles) 

A beautiful final ride follows Route 16 along the north side of the peninsula—a quiet road with regular glimpses of the seashore. 

In mid-afternoon, meet our shuttle at East Point Lighthouse for the drive back to Charlottetown and your final night on the island. Celebrate your Tip-to-Tip crossing with a farewell dinner and last walk along the harbor.
