Ride 4-days and 3-nights on this beautiful rail-to-trail in the Black Hills of South Dakota starting in Deadwood. This 109-mile trail is one of the nation’s most scenic, historic and memorable cycling adventures. As you cycle this well-maintained, but challenging trail, you will discover unrivaled natural beauty, geologic wonders and an abundance of wildlife in combination with historic ghost towns, train trestles, bridges and tunnels, reminders of a bygone era. You can add a Black Hills Site Seeing tour learning about Black Hills history, legends and stories plus be taken to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments, Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake and Custer State Park. Day 1
We will pick you up at 9am and drive you to Rochford where you will ride 28 miles back to Deadwood for your first night on the trail. You will see many tunnels on this portion of the trail. This part of the ride is most scenic and has some uphill grade for part of your day.
If you need a night in Deadwood the day before your tour, please purchase the “extra” hotel night before the tour or call/email our office 314-656-6229 to set up this hotel night.
Day 2
We will pick you up again and drive you to Rochford where you will ride the other direction to Hill City for 20 miles. Today also has some hills and many bridges. This is another very scenic section of the trial.
Day 3
Monument day - Ride 18 miles to see Crazy Horse Monument and end in Custer. Your entrance fees to these monuments are not included in the tour.
Day 4
Day 4 - Custer to Edgemont - 44 miles then shuttle back to deadwood - today’s route through descends peacefully through the forests and meadows. You will then meet the shuttle at 3pm in Edgemont and ride 2 hours back to Deadwood to your car. If you want to spend the night in Deadwood, please add "hotel after the tour" in your "extra" section.

7-hour Black Hills Bus Tour
You have the option to purchase a 7-hour Black Hills Bus Tour covering all the sites - Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake and Custer State Park. This air-conditioned tour is led by local guide who will fill you with history, legends and stories of how the Black Hills became famous. We will pick you up from hotel in Deadwood to start your tour. Includes entrance fees into Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments. Stop for Lunch (guest pays) and other stops for photos and views and by back before 5:00pm. All entrance fees are included in the cost
