Trail: Florida Coast to Coast - paved Mileage: 235 miles – 47-mile daily average Tour timing: year round Embark on a six-day, five-night cycling adventure along the stunning Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail, covering 235 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. You will travel along nine different trails with some quiet road riding to connect two of the gaps in this trail. Your journey begins in Clearwater, where you’ll settle in and prepare for the adventure ahead. On day two, you’ll be shuttled to New Smyrna Beach, where the real ride begins. Over the next five days, you’ll cycle westward, passing through Florida’s diverse landscapes, quiet lush forests, vibrant small towns, and scenic waterfronts. If you would like to finish the Pinellas Trail, spend an extra night after the tour and do the 42 mile out and back to Downtown St. Petersburg. Pricing varies based on time of year. Recumbents and Trikes cannot be shuttled on this tour. Day 1 - Arrive in Clearwater
Arrive in Clearwater and spend the day at the beach which is across the causeway from your hotel. You can visit the aquarium or just relax walking Clearwater Beach looking for seashells or for the food and drink.
1st night hotel stay.
Day 2 - Shuttle to New Smyrna Beach - ride to Debary - 42 miles
You will be picked up at 8:00am at your hotel in Clearwater and driven to New Smyrna Beach - 3 hour drive. Arrive in New Smyrna, catch a bite to eat, tip your tire in the Atlantic then start your ride to Debary.
You will ride over a causeway then towards the East Coast Regional Rail Trail then connecting to the East Central Regional Rail Trail to Debary.
Day 3 - Debary to Clermont - 51 miles
Today's ride will be along Lake Monroe and onto two more trails before riding past Lake Apopka to Clermont. You will ride the Orlando 7-mile gap which will be on side roads to connect the Seminole Wekiva Trail with the West Orange Trail.
Everyone thinks Florida is flat but today and tomorrow will show you some hills riding is available in Florida.
Day 4 - Clemont to Brooksville - 56 miles
Today will be a long riding day on the "50 Gap" to ensure you are riding on quiet roads. You will ride on three trails today as well as some city and country roads. You will be on hard surface and won't have to ride on any sandy/muddy side roads.
Even though this is a "detour" it is a very beautiful ride through farm land, dense forest while visiting Florida countryside. End your day in Brooksville.
Day 5 - Brooksville to Trinity - 59 miles
We are on trails the rest of our ride. Today we will ride on the Suncoast trail most of the day and end by riding through the J.B. Starkey Wilderness Park. Tonight there are many restaurants to choose from at this new development in Trinity.
Day 6 - Trinity to Clearwater - Fun Day!! - 28 miles
This is the last day of the tour and one you can decide how you want to spend the day. You have 27 miles to ride back to your hotel. You could make a few additions by riding out to Honeymoon Island State Park just north of Dunedin or riding past your hotel and over the causeway to Clearwater Beach. Or, stop in Dunedin and have lunch and a few beers at the few bars where you can pull off by the trail and park your bike. Be sure to find a beach and tip your tire in the Gulf to complete your Coast to Coast tour.
You deserve a fun day after riding 250 miles in 5 days. Decide how you want to enjoy Florida.

Extra Day - Day 7 - Ride to St. Petersburg - 48 miles
You will need to purchase an extra night after the tour. Then on Day 7, ride the length of the Pinellas trail from your hotel to the end of the trail. The trail ends at the park that connects to the beautiful Pier and is a block from the Dali Museum. Spend the afternoon in this beautiful city before riding back to your car to end your tour on this out and back ride.
