P'tit Train du Nord
Experience the beauty of Quebec’s P'tit Train du Nord, a 124-mile mostly paved trail that winds through the Laurentian Mountains. Just north of Montreal, this trail is named in honor of a train that ran for years between Saint-Jérôme and Mont-Laurier, Petite Train Du Nord stopped running in November, 1981.
There are two convenient ways to get to St. Jerome where we begin our tours. Whether you drive or fly to Montreal you drive 30 miles north to this quaint foot-hills town.

Tours available June - September
Our start dates allow you to start your tours on a Sunday and Tuesday. If our listed dates don't meet your schedule, then call our office 314-656-6229 or send an INQUIRY and we will build a tour for your specific dates.
This trail is the longest linear park in Canada, the Petit Train du Nord trail is covered in asphalt in the northern section (70% and crushed stone in the southern section.
We start our tours in St. Jerome, QC which is 20 minutes north of Montreal. You will spend your first day traveling to St. Jerome and then spend the night in one of our great hotels. Then the next day you will be shuttled to the start of the tour by our shuttle provider. You will also end your tour in St. Jerome as well.
Your first day of the tour is a travel day to St. Jerome, where you will spend your first night. There are two convenient ways to get to Montreal and St. Jerome where we begin our tours. You can drive or fly into the Montreal airport.
Parking for the tour is at the hotel the first night, then you will move to a parking lot by the shuttle company which is at the end of the trail. There is charge of $6 CAD a day (excluding Sat. & Sun.) for this parking during the tour.
Our Self-guided tours include your accommodations at great providers, shuttle to the starting city, GPS mapping and voice directions, electronic itinerary with restaurants recommendations and e-charging locations, themed t-shirt and patch.
You can also add luggage shuttle, bike rentals (hybrid and e-bike) and extra hotel nights before or after your tour.
The trails are open from June to September but we find the best time to ride is Mid-June to Mid-July and Mid-August through September. This timing will beat the crowds during the heat of the summer.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits of 50% of tour and 100% of all “Extras” are due at the time of tour reservation.
Balances are due 60 days before the tour – your tour can be cancelled if balance is not paid on time

We highly recommend trip insurance. We have seen many reasons people need to cancel due to accident, illness, family members having illness, jury or military duty, fire and pregnancy. All of these are covered with our trip insurance which you will have the option to purchase at checkout or you can purchase your own trip insurance or check your homeowners’ or credit card policy.
