Overview
Warning - This ride is for long distance riders who want to ride the trail end-to-end in 5 days. Ride America’s longest continuous rail to trail bike path with the #1 Katy Trail tour - Crossroads Bike Tours covering 236 miles on this crushed limestone trail. You begin your 5-day tour in St. Charles where you are picked up and driven to Clinton, MO to start your ride to Sedalia, MO. Then spend the next days riding back to St. Charles enjoying rural Missouri, wildlife, winery town and riding along the Missouri River. (4-day Option riding 48-75 miles/day) Your Self-guided tour includes your shuttle from St. Charles to Clinton, first class accommodations with breakfast each morning, Katy Trail guidebook and “Ride with GPS” mapping including detour information and places to eat, Katy Trail T-shirt and patch, packing list and tour training suggestions. We are at your service with personal contact from the planning through the end of your tour. You can also add these features to your tour: * Luggage shuttle to each lodging location plus luggage tag * Extra night stay in St. Charles the day before or the last day of tour * Bike Rentals for either hybrids, gravel bikes or e-bikes * You may start your tour in Clinton with parking in Clinton. You then would need to purchase a hotel at the end of your tour in St. Charles because your return shuttle would be at 8:00am the following day. Schedule
Ride the full length of the Katy Trail (Machens to St. Charles) in 5 days. This ride is for experienced riders as the mileage is extended. If you want even longer days, we can provide this tour in 4 days as well. You would ride day 1 from Clinton to Boonville -75 miles

Day One
Meet Shuttle in St. Charles at 8:00am then get shuttled to Clinton then ride your bike to Sedalia - 38 Miles.
Option for 4 day ride - combine Day 1 and Day 2 together and ride from Clinton to Boonville - 75 miles on Day 1
Day Two
Cycling Day: 37 miles-Sedalia to Boonville
Begin your day at the KATY Trail Depot Museum in Sedalia or the Scott Joplin Museum before departing Sedalia. Your destination on the trail is Boonville, named for Daniel Boone’s Children. Boonville is home to one of Missouri’s Casinos or you can walk the quaint streets and visit their shops.
Day Three
Cycling Day: 50 miles-Boonville to Jefferson City – Today is the longest section of your tour on the Katy Trail, 50 miles to Jefferson City. In the morning you will cycle beneath towering limestone bluffs some of the highest on the trail. The Missouri River can be seen frequently during the day as well as many small bridges. Your destination is N. Jefferson trailhead across the river from Jefferson City. Follow the path across the Missouri on the safe bike bridge with awesome views of the river and capital building.
Day Four
Cycling Day: 46 miles- Jefferson City to Hermann
Start your day with a return across the bike bridge to the N. Jefferson trailhead. Ride east to just before McKittrick where you can pick up a bike path into Hermann that crosses the Missouri River on another safe bike bridge. The winery town of Hermann has much to offer including Wineries, Breweries, Distilleries, restaurants and antique shops.
Day Five
Cycling Day: 66 miles- Hermann to St. Charles. This is your final day of cycling. You will pass Marthasville which has great places to eat, Augusta which has 2 wineries in town and Defiance which has a brewery and 2 local bars. You will move from the rural trail to urban in these 63 miles and still have some views of river. You will end your tour at your car where you started the tour.
