P.E.I. Self-Guided Bike Tours

Lodging - Shuttle - Guide Books - Extras

Prince Edward Island is the smallest province of Canada and one of its finest. You will discover small quant communities, artisan stores, historic buildings, abandoned rail stations, local cafes, and endless red-sandy beaches. Relax at quaint restaurants with world-renowned seafood and interact with islanders known for their warmth and hospitality. All tours ride through Cavendish where you can visit Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables and the National Park. Prince Edward Island has become a cyclist’s dream destination.

Our self-guided tours allow you to pick which tour is best for you. The Tip to Tip 7-day tour spans the entire island riding mainly on quiet back roads near the northern coastline and some of the Confederation Trail. The Confederation Trail tour 7-day tour stays on the interior gravel Rails-to-trail path which has a few coastline visits and a ride to Cavendish and the National Park. If you would like to ride shorter distances, both of these tours have a 5-day option.

Your self-guided trip is great for beginners or avid cyclists. Our tours provide:

First class hotels

Shuttle to and from the trail

Breakfast at most locations

GPS mapping

Detail tour information and route highlights

PEI T-shirt and patch

Extra services you may add to your tour:

Luggage Shuttle – move your luggage to each accommodation

Bike rentals – Hybrid or E-bikes

Added night lodging in Charlottetown

There are three convenient ways to get to Prince Edward Island and Charlottetown where we begin our tours. Whether you drive across the Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick, take a ferry ride from Nova Scotia, or fly into the Charlottetown airport, you will find Prince Edward Island easy to navigate.

Tours are available from June through September. See our tours for specific available dates, or we can build a custom tour to meet your vacation plans. Prince Edwards Island is ready to please, pick your tour and let Crossroads do the planning.

We loved the PEI cycling tour.  The B&B's were wonderful.  Thanks for helping with our blown tire.  This is definitely something we would recommend and would love to do again.

Mom and I had a great trip to PEI and enjoyed ourselves very much!  We loved the countryside and the tour was very beautiful and varied.  The tour was excellent and we were grateful that you chose less hilly roads, where possible.  The inns were very good.  The B&B at Montegue was really lovely.

Linda Chehad

We met SO many wonderful people along the way in PEI and saw so many wonderful things.  We look forwards to learning about your other destinations.  We would do a Crossroads bike trip anytime because we know that it would go as planned.
