You begin your 6-day tour in St. Charles where you are picked up and driven to Clinton, MO to start your ride back to St. Charles enjoying rural Missouri, wildlife, farm towns, winery towns and riding along the Missouri River. This Self-guided tour has premium rooms in all locations plus 3 added tours of The Clydesdale Farm, Penitentiary Tour and a Wine tour and tasting. Your tour starts with a shuttle from St. Charles to Clinton, Breakfast at all lodging locations, Katy Trail app with town, trail and restaurant information each day, "Ride with GPS" mapping, detour information, Katy Trail T-shirt and patch, packing list and tour training suggestions. We are at your service with personal contact from planning through the end of your tour. You can also add these features to your tour: * Luggage shuttle to each lodging location plus luggage tag * Extra night stay in St. Charles (or Clinton) the day before or the last day of tour * Bike Rentals for either hybrids, gravel bikes or e-bikes * You may start your tour in Clinton with parking in Clinton. You then would need to purchase a hotel at the end of your tour because your return shuttle would be at 8:00am the following day. DAY 1
Davidson's and Howard's meet van at 8:00am in St. Charles, MO and travel to Clinton, MO
Shive's will have stayed the night In Clinton, then leave their car and luggage at hotel – meet Davidsons and Howard's at Trailhead with bikes around noon
Ride 38 miles to Sedalia which is the home of Scott Joplin and the Katy Trail Museum in the depot, spend some time in this treasure of yesterday and buy some memorabilia at the Katy train depot.

DAY 2
Ride 37 miles to Boonville. Today's ride will see more of the farmland and rock formations in mid-Missouri. Boonville is named for the sons of Daniel Boone who lived there and is home to one of Missouri’s Casinos.
Tour 3pm - Warm Springs Ranch – Boonville, MO – Tickets for tour of Anheuser Busch Clydesdale Farm https://www.warmspringsranch.com/ Will need to take taxi ((660) 537-2008) and pay for the ride roughly $60 round trip (Might get to hotel around 1:30 and room might not be ready and would have to change in lobby restroom)

DAY 3
Travel 50 miles to Jefferson City today. You will travel 13 miles from Boonville to Rocheport where you will encounter the only train tunnel on the tour. Spend time taking pictures at this location. Rocheport has a nice coffee shop and antique store if you want to stop and visit. You are 36 miles to Jefferson City from Rocheport and this section is when you will encounter the Missouri River for the rest of your ride.
Tour 3pm – Missouri Penitentiary Tour – 115 Lafayette St. (7 blocks from hotel) Discover the intriguing history of the infamous Missouri State Penitentiary on this guided tour! Hear about escape attempts, riots, female inmates, and more.

DAY 4
Hermann is your destination today, 48-mile ride. Hermann is a great Wine town with 3 wineries, 2 distilleries and a brew haus to wet your whistle. Be sure to get up early today so you get into town before your wine tour.
Wine Tour and Tasting 3:30pm – Stone Hill Winery -1110 Stone Hill Hwy. Take taxi – not paid by tour (573-284-4811 or 314-608-3202) Dinner at Winery at 5:15pm. Taxi back to Hotel

DAY 5
Today’s destination is Augusta 37-mile ride, another small winery town with a population of only 257 people, but they do have two wineries in the city limits. Again, these wineries close around 5:30pm.
Wine Tasting and Charcuterie at Applegate B&B - Jerry Mueller, the winemaker at Robller Winery in New Haven will do a tasting of their wines. Included is a very nice charcuterie to go with the tasting all at your B&B.

DAY 6
Final day on the ride you head back to St. Charles for 27 miles and return around 1:00pm. While in St. Charles, I suggest walking down old Main Street, which has the Old State Capital and many historic buildings along with the Lewis and Clark Boat and Museum.

Meet Shuttle on following day at 8:00am behind hotel to ride back to Clinton and your vehicle.
