This 7 night, 6 day ride from North Cape to East Point Bay, you will see all of the coastline with this tour. You have overnights in Mill River, Summerside, Cavendish, Brackley Beach, St. Peter’s Bay and return to Charlottetown. We use mostly quiet roads and some rail-trails to move you along the northern half of the island . This tour brings the beauty of the coastline, sandy beaches, harbor towns and great seafood for the entire 7 days. You will ride through the PEI National Park with breathtaking coastlines and their paved trail through the marshlands. Be sure to bring you camera because this tour has the sights you want to capture. Your tour provides 7 nights along the trail, one bag per person transported to each lodging location, breakfast in most locations, luggage tag, t-shirt, maps with restaurant suggestions and transportation back to Charlottetown. DAY 1
Travel Day – Arrive in Charlottetown, PEI
This is a day to travel to PEI, flying or driving. An overnight stay
DAY 2
Shuttle: Charlottetown to North Cape/Tignish in western PEI to Mill River
9 AM: Your shuttle will pick you up at your Charlottetown lodging for the ride to North Cape/Tignish in western PEI (2 hour drive). If you are renting bikes the shuttle will stop for outfitting before leaving Charlottetown. Your afternoon cycling today is an option of 35 km or 57 km from North Cape or Tignish to Rodd Mill River resort. 35 km or 57 km (22 or 36 mi)
DAY 3
Day 3 Mill River to Summerside
Today the route takes you on quiet country roads with regular views of the sea off the north shore. Lodging is at a B&B in PEI’s second city Summerside. 70 km (44 mi)
DAY 4
Day 4 – Summerside to Cavendish
Ride the Confederation Trail from Summerside to Kensington to stay off busier roads. The Island is narrow here and quiet road choices are limited. Then jump back on the road for the journey to Cavendish. Pass by an historic church at Indian River and follow the coastline for most of the day. Lots of sea views in the second half of the day. Overnight in Cavendish about 500 meters from the seashore and 1 km from Cavendish Beach. Anne of Green Gables sights are nearby. 60 km (37 mi)
DAY 5
Day 5 – Cavendish to Stanhope/Covehead
Today is an easy day with time to enjoy more sea view and your stay near the sea at Stanhope By the Sea (Covehead Bay). Follow the coastline through PEI National Park for a lovely ride on two 10 km sections. 37 km (23 mi)
DAY 6
Day 6 – Stanhope/Covehead Bay to St. Peter's Bay
In the morning continue along the coastline through PEI National Park and join the Confederation Ttrail near Tracadie for the final 10 km of the day. Enjoy a beauriful ride as the trail follows the shore of St. Peter’s Bay and evening at a quaint B&B or small inn near the Bay. 59 km (37 mi)
DAY 7
Day 7 St. Peter's Bay to East Point Lighthouse
A beautiful ride is ahead as the route follows route 16 along the north side of the peninsula – a quiet road with regular glimpses of the seashore. If you would like to eliminate the hills, a Confederation Trail option is available from St. Peter’s. The trail is a little shorter (51km) and generally flat traveling more inland on this section. At the end of your cycling day meet the mid-afternoon shuttle for a return ride to Charlottetown for your last overnight on the Island. 58 km (36 mi)
