Ride the beautiful Mickelson Trail from End to End in 3 days
VIEW DATESRide 3 days on this beautiful rail-to-trail in the Black Hills of South Dakota. This 109 mile trail is one of the nation’s most scenic, historic and memorable cycling adventures. As you cycle this well maintained, but challenging trail, you will discover unrivaled natural beauty, geologic wonders and an abundance of wildlife in combination with historic ghost towns, train trestles, bridges and tunnels, reminders of a bygone era. Your tour starts in Deadwood, SD and includes 3 days of riding, 2 lodging nights, breakfast, Mickelson themed T-shirt and patch, Ride with GPS mapping and our exclusive OdyAPP highlighting, weather, restaurants and things to do on the trail,. Your tour will end in Edgemont, SD where you will be shuttled back to Deadwood to pick up your car. If you have arrived by airplane then we can shuttle you to Rapid City for departure for additional cost. The Mickelson Trail is considered solidly intermediate riding level due to long continuous grades and higher elevations. Luggage shuttle - Move your bags to each lodging location Bike rental - Hybrid (manuel) or E-bike rentals unavailable at this time Site Seeing Tour - Stay in Deadwood another day and take in our Black Hills site seeing tour of the Black Hills - see additional information below Day 1 Ride from Deadwood to Hill City - 48 miles Day 2 Ride from Hill City to Custer - can detour to Crazy Horse Monument - 21 Miles Day 3 Ride from Custer to Edgemont - 44 miles and get shuttled back to Deadwood. EXTRA - Site Seeing Tour - Relax a day off the bike with our Black Hills Tour. Enjoy our day long tour 8:45am- 4:30pm. Your tour guide/driver will pick you up at our hotel in Deadwood to begin your tour. You will learn about Black Hills history, legends and stories plus be taken to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments, Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake and Custer State Park. All entrance fees are paid with your tour. We will stop for Lunch (guest pays) and have other stops for photos, viewing and relaxation.
