Overview

The Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) is one of America’s best and most famous rail trails. Ride this 4-day 150-mile, crushed-gravel trail from Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland, MD with it's 5 tunnels and 20 bridges that make this a Hall of Fame Trail. You will ride through tunnels and cross the Appalachian Mountains visiting small towns and picturesque scenery so take plenty of pictures. In Cumberland, MD the GAP meets the Chesapeake & Ohio Tow Path (C&O) which leads you to Washington, DC. See our other tours for the C&O and combined tours. Our tours start on Saturday, but if you would like to start another day of the week, just send in an Inquiry and let us know the dates you would like to tour.
